Published onsite Saturday, May 6 to Tuesday, May 9, 2017, EyeWorld Daily News is the official daily of the ASCRS•ASOA Symposium & Congress, Cornea Day, ASCRS Glaucoma Day, and ASCRS Refractive Day. Each issue provides an exhibitor listing and floor plan, along with complete coverage of speakers, symposia, and breaking news. Additionally, photo spreads and editorial coverage highlighting attendee activities are featured, a favorite of meeting attendees.

In 2017, EyeWorld Daily News will continue to expand its reach beyond the meeting. Following the meeting, EyeWorld will archive all issues of the meeting daily on daily.EyeWorld.org with an announcement to be e-blasted to more than 22,000 physicians and administrators. All advertisers placing ads in the print version of EyeWorld Daily News for all four days will have their ads placed in the digital version. Advertisers who are running booth lecture series advertisements in the daily for all four days will be given the opportunity to replace this ad with a product or corporate advertisement. Advertisers in EyeWorld Daily News will now reach physicians and administrators beyond the meeting attendees, providing additional value.

The Saturday–Tuesday issues of the meeting daily will be hand-delivered to attendees as they enter the convention center, as well as placed in bins throughout the convention center and on the exhibit floor in the ASCRS•ASOA Gateway Booth. The Saturday through Monday editions will also be door-dropped to 3,600 attendee hotel rooms each respective morning. Advertisers may place different ads in each day of the daily at no additional cost.

• Publish booth lecture series schedules

• Publicize meeting events hosted by your organization

• Focus attendee attention on your presence at the meeting

Discontinuation of the black and white rate card

 

In 2016, ASCRSMedia discontinued the black and white rate card. As printing technology has evolved and advertisers have focused on the advantages of using color, there has been rapidly declining demand for black and white ads.

However, ASCRSMedia also recognizes the requirement for pharmaceutical and medical device companies to publish ISI statements adjacent to their display ads. These federally mandated requirements do not add to the brand promotion of a product and can be prohibitively expensive. For this reason, we have created an ISI rate card for firms placing ads that require an ISI statement alongside their ad. This rate card may only be used for ISI statements. These ads are not restricted to black and white; spot color may be included in these ads.

ASCRSMedia does not permit the insertion of marketing materials that conflict with ASCRS, ASOA, or EyeWorld produced events, programs, or meetings into its publications or other promotional vehicles. This includes marketing for meetings produced by competitive publications and CME providers, as well as industry. If you have a meeting ad you wish to run but are unsure of its eligibility, please forward a proof to Cathy Stern prior to submitting your IO or consult your salesperson.
